Type Rating Programs

Atrans Aviation coordinates training courses on multiple fleet types. With FAA, EASA / JAA and National DGCAapprovals, we coordinate many training options for many different aircraft fleet types. The Airbus A320, Boeing 737, ATR 72, series are simulators we coordinate type ratings to individuals and airlines. Below is a summary of our courses. Please contact us for more information.

Type Rating Training courses are available for the following aircraft families:

Airbus 320 Type Rating

A320 PIC Initial Certification, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61

This course provides the crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain an A320 Type Rating.
 
  1. Prerequisites :
    • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
    • Instrument Rating
    • ATP written
    • Meets the requirements of Part 61
  2. Course Duration : Approximately 20 Days
  3. Classroom Instruction : On Site Option: 52:00 Hours
  4. System Integration Training : 16:00 Hours (classroom; CPT; simulator without motion)
  5. Simulator/Flight Training: * Paired : 12:00 Hours PF, 12:00 Hours PM (Level C or higher) 02:00 Hours LOFT (Each Pilot)
  6. Simulator/Certification Check : 3 Hours per trainee (Level C or higher)

A320 PIC Initial Certification, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61 Home Study Option

This course provides the crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain an A320 Type Rating.
 
  1. Prerequisites:
    • Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
    • Instrument Rating
    • ATP written
    • Meets the requirements of Part 61
  2. Course Duration : Approximately 13 Days
  3. Classroom Instruction : Home Study Option: 40:00 Hrs at home + 12:00 Hrs On Site
  4. System Integration Training : 16:00 Hours (classroom; CPT; simulator without motion)
  5. Simulator/Flight Training : * Paired: 12:00 Hours PF, 12:00 Hours PM (Level C or higher) 02:00 Hours LOFT (Each Pilot)

A320 PIC Reduced Certification, ATP/Type Rating, Part 61

This course is for crewmembers that have been previously trained and qualified as a Pilot on the A320 aircraft, with a minimum of 250 hours logged in aircraft type. The course provides the crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain an A320 Type Rating.
 
  1. Prerequisites:
    • Served as an A320 active crew member within the last 59 months,
    • Minimum of 250 hours in type
    • Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
    • Instrument Rating
    • ATP written; or hold an ATP
    • Meets the requirements of Part 61
  2. Course Duration : Approximately 11 Days
  3. Classroom Instruction : 21:00 Hours
  4. Simulator/Flight Training : * Paired: 12:00 Hours PF, 12:00 Hours PM or to proficiency 02:00 Hours LOFT (Each Pilot)

A320 PIC Recurrent, Part 61.58

This course is to ensure that a PIC crewmember is adequately trained and currently proficient with respect to the A320 aircraft. The course is applicable to previously trained and qualified PIC crewmembers on the A320 aircraft.
 
  1. Prerequisites :
    • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with an A320 Type Rating.
  2. Course Duration : Approximately 4 Days
  3. Classroom Instruction : 16:00 Hours
  4. Simulator/Flight Training : * Paired: 02:00 Hours PF, 02:00 Hours PM (Level B or higher)
  5. Simulator/Proficiency Check : 3 Hours per trainee (Level B or higher)

A320 SIC Initial Qualification, Part 61.55

This course provides the SIC crewmember with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain a SIC Qualification Check, meeting the requirements of Part 61.55. The course is incomplete until documentation is provided for one takeoff and landing in the A320 aircraft.

    • Private Pilot Certificate with Multi Engine Land
    • Instrument Rating
  2. Course Duration : Approximately 20 Days
  3. Classroom Instruction : On Site Option: 52:00 Hours

    • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a B737 Type Rating

ATR 72 Type Rating

ATR 72 Type Rating

ATR 72 Type Rating Training Course is intended to give a participant the necessary knowledge and skills to master the airplane, with the successful outcome of a procedure or manoeuvre never in doubt, and to meet or exceed the appropriate requirements/standards.

 

 

Prerequisite

  • 70 hours as pilot-in-command of airplanes

  • Valid ME, IR (multi-engine, instrument rating)

  • Valid CPL (ATPL theory) or ATPL;Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate

  • MCC certificate of completion*

  • English level 4 according to ICAO requirements.

 

NOTE: *MCC course is available as a part of the Type Rating Training program.

 

 

ATR 72 Training Course Content

1.  Ground Training:

  • Aircraft Systems;

  • Mock-up of the flight deck (CPT);

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);

  • Mass & Balance, Limitations, Flight Operation.

  • Ground Training duration: 14 days.

 

2.   Flight Training:

  • Full Flight Simulator – 8 sessions, 32 hrs;

  • Crew examination in Full Flight Simulator – 4 hrs.

  • Flight Training duration: 9 days.
